How to Register for TOEFL iBT
Visit the official ETS TOEFL website
Go to ets.org/toefl, the official registration site.
Create an ETS account
Sign up with your email, or sign in if you've registered before.
Choose a test centre or Home Edition, and your date
Pick an in-person test centre, or TOEFL iBT Home Edition where available, and a test date.
Pay online to confirm
Complete payment - your booking is only confirmed once payment goes through.
Bring your ID on test day
Bring the exact passport or ID you registered with - name and photo must match your booking.
Money Matters: Reschedules, Cancellations, and Smart Prep
Reschedule for a fee
You can reschedule your test date for a fee if you do it more than a few days before your original date.
Early cancellation gets a partial refund
Cancelling entitles you to a partial refund if done early enough - check ETS's current policy window when you book.
